Winnipeg Jets Licence Plates Available December 12th

Visit our locations on December 12th to get your Winnipeg Jets licence plates.  There is no doubt all things Jets in this province are in demand -- we love our hockey and our team! The Winnipeg Jets and the Province of Manitoba introduced a new Winnipeg Jets specialty licence plate available to all customers on a one set per vehicle basis.  The cost will be $70 with $30 of every purchase going to the Winnipeg Jets' True North Foundation.  Here are the answers to your top three questions:

1. Can I pre-order my plates?

Unfortunately we are unable to offer preorders.  You will be able to purchase plates on or after December 12th.  We'll send out a tweet and post on facebook to remind you.

2. Will I be able to personalize my plates?

No, just is the case with the Bomber plates, the Jets plates are a pre-established set of letters and numbers.

3. I already own a set of Bomber plates. Once the football season is over, can I replace them with my Winnipeg Jets plates?

You can support both your favorite teams equally!  If you own Bomber plates, you are still eligible to purchase Jets plates and change them up between seasons at no extra charge. Just be sure to update both your front and rear plate, sporting only one team at a time (front and back plate numbers need to match)

MULTI-YEAR AUTOPAC RENEWAL PROCESS

Last March, MPI introduced a multi-year Autopac renewal process to eventually move everyone to a five year renewal.  This process will take a few years as some people will receive a five year renewal now while others will receive a one, two, three or four year renewal. As a result, your Autopac and driver’s licence may last from one to five years.

 

When you visit MIG’s office, you will be renewing from one to five years as determined by MPI’s systems.  In the years between your renewal cycle, you will still pay for your driver’s licence and vehicle insurance each year. MPI will send you a statement of account prior to your annual assessment due date.  At MIG, we will also make every attempt to contact you with a reminder of the upcoming payment or renewal, again depending upon the number of years of your previous renewal. If you have any questions about this process, please feel free to contact your MIG Auto Insurance Specialists … we’ll help you navigate through this new renewal process!


In Manitoba, all residents are required to buy their auto insurance through Manitoba Public Insurance.
